J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing: Up to $700 Bonus
The J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investment account offers the biggest bonus right now. You can earn up to $700 when you open an account, but keep in mind this is a tiered bonus. The more you deposit to your account, the more you'll earn.
Here's how much you'll receive with each tier:
- Deposit $5,000-$24,999 → $50 bonus
- Deposit $25,000-$99,999 → $150 bonus
- Deposit $100,000-$249,999 → $325 bonus

FAQs About Chase Bank Offers
Are sign-up bonuses from Chase Bank taxed?
The cash welcome bonuses you receive upon opening a bank account or credit card are taxable income. The bonus counts as interest income issued by your bank, and you'll have to report it to the IRS at tax time.[2]
If you take advantage of a Chase bonus, expect to receive a Form 1099-INT at the end of the year.[3]
How do I check my Chase bonus?
Most Chase bonuses post within 15 days of completing all the requirements. If you've done all the necessary steps, you should find your bonus amount in your account by that time.
If the bonus isn't showing up on your account, you can give Chase customer service a call at 1-800-935-9935.
Does Chase Bank have a sign-on bonus?
Chase Bank usually has multiple bonuses offers going on at any given time. If you don't qualify for one bonus, there's a good chance you'll be able to find another that fits your needs.
How long does it take to get paid a bonus from Chase?
You'll receive most Chase checking account bonuses within 15 days of meeting all the requirements. Other bonuses might take longer. The Chase referral bonus posts to your account within 30 days of completing requirements.
Chase credit card bonuses take the longest to pay out. Bonus points can take 6 to 8 weeks to reflect on your account.
Where can I find my Chase referral bonus?
Once your friend opens an account through your referral link, you can expect to get paid within 30 days. Your bonus will automatically post to your Chase checking account.
How long do Chase referrals last?
Chase referral links last 6 months from the time the link is generated. During this time, you can send it out to as many friends as you'd like. But keep in mind that you can only earn up to 10 referral bonuses a year.

Can Chase offers be used multiple times?
Every Chase Offer is different. Some can be used multiple times until the deal expires. Others can be used one time only. Check the fine print of the offer to see what the specific terms are.
How do I get more offers from Chase?
If you subscribe to Chase emails, you'll receive an update each time there's a new batch of offers available to you. Chase Offers update pretty frequently, so check back every week or two to find the latest deals.
Bottom Line: Which Chase Bonus is Best for You?
No matter what type of bank account you're looking to open, Chase probably offers a sign-up bonus for it. Be sure to check whether you qualify for the account and the bonus before signing up.
Remember: Avoid simply choosing the highest bonus you can find. The account you sign up for needs to suit your financial situation. If you're not able to waive the monthly fee for an account, for example, it might not be the best idea to sign up for it—even if the bonus is tempting.
Before you sign up for any account, be sure to compare all your options and do your research. Check out our full Chase review to learn more.
