- Waived monthly fees for two additional Chase checking accounts and any savings accounts. Note: This excludes Chase Sapphire Checking and both Chase Private Client Checking and Savings accounts. Read our full review of the Chase Bank savings account to learn more.
- Waived fees for Chase Liquid cards.

- Have a Chase mortgage on which you make monthly payments.

If none of those requirements applies to you, opening a Premier Plus Checking account will cost you $25 a month for just one account. That's a steep price, especially when compared to checking accounts from other major banks.
Fees and How to Get it Waived
The Premier Plus Checking account charges a $25 monthly service fee. You can waive this fee in one of two ways:
- By maintaining an average daily balance of $15,000 or more in just your Premier Plus Checking account or spread out amongst all of your Chase accounts.
- By linking a monthly Chase mortgage that withdraws payments automatically from the account.
How to Open a Premier Plus Checking Account
You can open a Chase bank account either in-person at a Chase location or online—just make sure to have the necessary documentation.
Follow these steps:
- Gather your Social Security and driver's license or state ID information. If going into the bank, you need to bring each item.
- Fill out the application with your name, date of birth, identification information, address, and contact information.
- Choose the Premier Plus Checking account.
- Make your initial monetary deposit into the account.
You will receive your debit card in the mail, though you can request a temporary card if you opened your account in person.
