Packages & Fees

Payline offers month-to-month contracts. You can cancel at any time without facing any early cancellation fees. The only factor that determines what fees you pay is whether a card is present for the transaction. Read on for Payline Data's fee structure.

Swiping in Person
Recommended for retail merchants. Fees include:

  • Interchange cost + 0.2%
  • $0.10 per transaction
  • $10.00/month
  • $25.00 monthly processing minimum

Interchange fees are charged by the cardholder's credit card company (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) every time the card is used. The networks set the fee and divide the cost between the network and the issuing bank.

Credit Cards Not Present
Recommended for Internet/MOTO (Mail Order/Telephone Order) merchants. Fees include:

  • Interchange + $0.30%
  • $0.20 per transaction
  • $20.00/month
  • $25.00 monthly processing minimum

Payline also offers a plan tailored to healthcare and medical providers. It includes a dedicated account manager and no monthly or hidden fees.

Payline Medical
Fees include:

  • Interchange + $0.1%
  • $0.10/transaction
  • 0.4% for ACH payments
  • $0/month for a virtual terminal

Additional Options

Payline Data offers add-on benefits that are available for purchase with certain plans. Ask your account representative about the following options:

Business Loan

Subscription Billing
Payline offers subscription billing to bill an unlimited number of customers for certain plans for an additional $29.95 fee.

ACH Payments

Equipment Costs & Features

If Payline Data is not compatible with your existing equipment, you can purchase equipment for a separate fee. Equipment options include:

Clover Go
The Clover Go is an on-the-go credit card reader. You can accept many forms of payment, including contactless, chip, and swipe cards. With Clover, you can instantly email receipts, set tax rates, and custom tips. The Clover Go costs $125.00 down plus $11.00/month.

Ingenico iCT220
This countertop device accepts swipe, chip, and contactless payments. You can integrate the system with your POS or cash register. The Ingenico iCT220 costs $275.00 up front.

How It Compares

Square doesn't charge any monthly fees, which does make it a bit more attractive. Instead, they charge a percentage fee on each transaction. Square also offers several card readers, including a free mobile card reader.

PayPal specializes in online payments rather than retail payments. They do offer two card readers, but they aren't as robust as the Payline options. PayPal also doesn't have a very user-friendly API. If you want to create a custom checkout, it may cost you an additional monthly fee for the "pro" service.

Stripe is an online-only credit card processor. They offer simple pricing (one price for all cards) and a user-friendly API, which allows you to customize your checkout. Stripe doesn't charge monthly fees.

Bottom Line

No contract, easy cancellation, and low pricing makes Payline Data an attractive credit card processor for businesses of all sizes. They offer a wide range of low cost plans that can be tailored to any business need.
