TradingView's main features are available on its free plan, but what exactly does it offer? Read on to find out.

With TradingView's free plan, you can sufficiently analyze charts and access all its drawing tools. But what else comes with this plan? In this review, learn what key features are free on TradingView.

Is TradingView Free?

Yes, TradingView offers a free plan. With it, you can analyze charts and access all its 110+ drawing tools and indicators. However, you can only use 2 indicators and 5 price alerts per chart.

You'll need to subscribe to one of its paid plans for more than 2 indicators and 5 price alerts.

Key Features

Here are the free features on TradingView:

  • Charts
TradingView's free plan lets you open 1 chart layout per screen. You can open charts for stocks, indices, currencies, commodities, and crypto from multiple brokerages.

  • Indicators
With the free plan, you can open 2 indicators per chart, including averages, average true range, stochastic, Bollinger bands, and more.

  • Trading Tools
You can use any of the 110+ drawing tools available on the platform as well as draw trendline and Fibonacci retracements. You can also annotate and draw arrows for the assumed market direction.

  • Price Alert
TradingView's free plan lets you use 5 price alerts. This is useful if you don't want to stare at charts all day. They'll send you an email alert as soon as the price hits your desired position.

  • Watchlists
You can create a watchlist on the right side of the chart. This is a list of assets you like to analyze or trade. It includes the current asset price and the percent change.

Which TradingView feature do you find most useful on the free plan?

What Is TradingView?

TradingView is an investment analysis charting platform that makes trading technology accessible to all traders.

With TradingView, you can analyze charts to see where you can enter for a trade. Its drawing tools and indicators allow you to study market charts of any asset, such as currencies, stocks, indices, commodities, and crypto.

Paid Plans

TradingView offers a free plan that allows the use of 1 chart layout on a single screen, 5 price alerts, and 2 indicators per chart.

You can subscribe to one of their paid plans if you want more perks. Here's a basic overview of all their plans:[1]

Would you consider upgrading to a paid plan for additional features?

Bottom Line

TradingView is free, but its key features will be limited. If you want to use more indicators and alerts on a single chart, you might want to consider the paid plans.

Alternatively, you could use one of TradingView's 30-day free trials and see if the paid features are a fit for you. For more information about TradingView, check out this review.
