Many people have forgotten what Bitcoin was originally meant to be: a currency.

But spending it has always been a hassle. Of the businesses that accepted it, the process was often complicated.

Now, things are changing. More and more businesses are accepting Bitcoin, and they're becoming easier to spend.

Bitcoin Maps

There are several online maps that help you find businesses that accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment in your area.

These can be particularly useful in helping to find smaller businesses and ones that have only recently started accepting cryptocurrencies.

SpendBitcoins: SpendBitcoins is an online map that shows where you can spend your Bitcoin at businesses worldwide. You can search by category, like food, or arts and entertainment, or you can input your location and browse local businesses.

Coinmap: Coinmap helps you locate businesses that accept Bitcoin, as well as Bitcoin ATMs. If you create an account, you can save venues you like to keep track of them.

Bottom Line

If you still want to hold on to your Bitcoin, there's nothing wrong with that. But as you can see, for those who think that Bitcoin is the future of money, the evidence is in your favor.

Whether it's buying a coffee on a sunny afternoon or paying the subscription for your favorite VPN, there are plenty of businesses that accept Bitcoin.

And if the trend continues, there'll be more tomorrow than there were today. Happy spending.
