Looking for a new bank in Las Vegas? Look no further than this helpful guide to the best banks in Las Vegas.

Banking in Sin City?

You might be wondering if you're getting the best rates, features, and perks available to you.

Luckily, this guide can help you find the best banks in Las Vegas. Below, review the most noteworthy banks serving Las Vegas customers for savings, checking, and more.

The Best Banks in Las Vegas

How do you know if a bank is right for you?

It's important to consider a variety of factors, including their accounts, rates, and convenience. Now let's jump in and see which banks in Las Vegas really are the best.

Featured Checking Account Offers in Nevada

Wells Fargo: Best National Bank

Wells Fargo is our pick for the best national bank. Wells Fargo has more locations than pretty much any other bank in the area, coming in at 70.

That means wherever you are in the city, you won't be far from banking services.

And as far as services go, since they are a big bank, they've got a wide variety of personal banking services, including:

  • Personal checking accounts
  • Savings accounts
  • Debit and credit cards
  • Home, auto, and student loans
  • Retirement accounts
  • Wealth management services, and more

Wells Fargo is also a solid pick for small business owners.

According to reports from the Small Business Administration (SBA), Wells Fargo is one of the most active SBA 7(a) lenders. Wells Fargo provides its own business loans too.[1]

Small business owners will also appreciate the Wells Fargo Initiate Business Checking account with its easy-to-waive fee.

An added perk: Many business-oriented banks refuse to disclose interest rates on their loans unless you visit a branch office. Wells Fargo posts their rates publicly, scoring them points for transparency.

Chase: Best for Checking

Chase has 50 locations in the Las Vegas area, and more than 4,700 branches and more than 15,000 ATMs in the U.S. That means wherever you are, you know that you're never more than a quick drive away from your bank.

But Chase also offers an easy-to-use mobile app so you can manage your account with just a few taps of your fingertips.

Here's a few of their popular checking accounts to consider:

Tip: Pricing varies from one account to another, but Chase fees can often be waived. Check out our guide to learn how to avoid the monthly service fees.

Zions Bank: Best Regional Bank

Our pick for the best regional bank in Las Vegas is Zions Bank.

With 30 locations in Las Vegas, Utah-based Zions Bank provides many of the features and services of a national bank, but with a local focus.

They have 3 separate checking accounts available to Nevada residents, including a Military Advantage Checking account and OnBudget Banking with a low $5 monthly fee.

They offer special banking services for students, from high school to college, and despite being a smaller bank than some of their national competitors, they offer a range of mobile banking services.

One downside to choosing Zions Bank if you live in Las Vegas is that some of their features don't appear to be available outside of Utah and Idaho, including savings accounts and loans.

One Nevada Credit Union: Best Credit Union

As the largest credit union in the state of Nevada, One Nevada Credit Union has 15 locations in Las Vegas, with 15 branches across the state and 400 fee-free ATMs across the state.

And that's in addition to the Allpoint ATM network, which membership with One Nevada Credit Union gets you, meaning access to 46,000 ATMs nationwide.

That means you don't need to sacrifice convenience if you choose not to opt for a traditional or online bank like the ones above.

And One Credit still offers a wide range of financial services that you're used to. They have several affordable free checking accounts (as long as you meet the qualifying requirements), and they even have an account for teens.

In addition to a basic savings account, they also have a money market account, and CDs with a low minimum balance.

Are credit unions better than banks? Credit unions are often cheaper, offer more generous interest rates, and boast better customer service. For our picks of the best credit unions, check out this guide.

US Bank: Best for Long-Term Savings

US Bank is one of the largest national banks out there. While it isn't the biggest banking option in Las Vegas, US Bank operates over a dozen locations in the city.

In addition to a range of useful services such as checking and savings accounts, credit cards, retirement and investment accounts and more, US Bank has a solid range of CDs offering interest rates that are higher than the national average.

You won't find rates at a traditional bank like US Bank quite as high as those offered by online-only banks, but thanks to the variety of services they offer as well as brick-and-mortar access, coupled with long term savings rates, it becomes worth your consideration.

Other Banks to Consider

If for some reason none of the banks listed above are the right fit for you, you need not worry that you won't be able to find a good banking option in Las Vegas. Here's a look at other banks to consider.

WaFD Bank
WaFD is a Seattle-based regional bank with 3 branches located in the city of Las Vegas, and over 230 branches spread about 8 surrounding western states.

In spite of its smaller size and lesser reach, WaFD Bank offers many of the same services that major banks do, for both individuals and businesses. That means checking and savings accounts, accounts for kids and teens, free and interest-bearing checking accounts, and more.

Notably, while WaFD bank doesn't offer savings rates quite as high as some online banks, they are quite good compared to traditional competitors.

Bottom Line

Las Vegas residents have an array of excellent options when it comes to personal or business banking services. For those looking for the broadest range of services as well as small business support, Wells Fargo is likely the best choice.

Zions Bank has a more limited selection of services but may appeal to those looking for a local regional bank.

Chase combines the best of online and real-world banking, and for those interested in avoiding big banks altogether, consider going with One Nevada Credit Union, or a smaller bank like WaFD.
