The monthly fee may be slightly more expensive than the competition, but you'd be paying for faster speeds, which we think is worthwhile. Check out the promotion below.

100/100 Mbps Internet for $39.99/month for one year

Standard set-up charge (worth $99.99) is waived for online orders.
Currently a limited time, online-only offer for new Fios Internet residential customers. No annual contract. Promo rates provided via monthly bill credits, and the rates increase after the promo period ends. Price includes $10/month savings for two years.
Conditions: $10/month router charge and fees pertaining to this may apply, subject to credit approval, may require a deposit.

To sweeten the deal, Verizon also waives the $99.99 set-up fee when ordering online. If you're moving from another provider, Verizon will also offset the costs of your early termination fees (ETF) with an up to $500 credit on your monthly Fios bill. Find out more about the promotions below.

Verizon Up to $500 Early Termination Fee Credit

Verizon offers up to $500 to cover your early termination fees if you're moving from another provider.

Simply provide your last bill which shows your ETF charges. Verizon will credit that amount to your new Fios account. To qualify for the promotion, you must subscribe to Verizon's Internet service. For example, if you're migrating from a satellite TV provider, you'd have to buy at least Fios Internet and Fios TV.

What is Verizon Fios?
Verizon Fios is a telecommunications provider which offers internet, TV, and voice phone services. What makes them different are their fiber optic cables that transmit light signals. These signals travel much faster than copper or coaxial cables, allowing them to have much higher internet speeds.

Where is Verizon Fios available?
Currently, Verizon Fios is available in more than 13 major cities across nine states. You can find the complete coverage map here.

Can I apply just for Verizon Fios Internet?
Yes. Verizon offers standalone internet services. These services have no contract, and you can stop or continue their services as you wish. However, bear in mind that prices do increase after their promotional price-lock period. They offer price-lock guarantees from 1-3 years, depending on the package you select.

How much would it cost me?
Verizon Fios' deals are constantly changing. It's best to check back often for the current Verizon Fios promo codes.

Generally, the pricing depends on the internet speeds you sign up for. Be sure to check the costs after the price-lock guarantee ends to get a more accurate assessment. Remember, if you don't like the deal, you can quit anytime.

Another great thing about Verizon Fios is their transparent pricing. Before you sign up, they provide a preview of your monthly bill, so you won't get any nasty surprises.

Here's a list of Verizon Fios' standalone internet promotions.

How fast is Verizon Fios?
Very fast. Their advertised speeds are faster than traditional cable speeds, and they consistently deliver what's advertised. According to the FCC's most recent Measuring Broadband America report, Verizon Fios has consistently delivered above 80% of their advertised speeds.

Is Fios Internet really unlimited?
Officially, yes. Verizon states that it doesn't cap Fios connections in any way. If you're a regular internet user who streams movies and play games, you can do it as much as you like.

However, unofficially, Verizon will start asking questions if you use too much data. How much is too much? Well, Verizon threatened to disconnect this customer's service after discovering that he used 7TB of data per month.

Generally using more than 4TB of data per month will have Verizon knocking on your door. At that point they'll most likely ask you to cut down on your usage, or upgrade to a business plan.

Can I get home internet through Verizon?
Yes, Fios by Verizon offers standalone internet services to residential areas. If you can't get their Fios service, they also provide DSL internet, although it's much slower. You can check your address on their website to see what's available.

The Verizon Fios Internet only plans don't have a contract. They have promotional pricing for 1-3 years, depending on your package.

Is it fast enough for streaming TV?
Yes. For reference, Netflix recommends 5 Mbps to stream HD video. DIRECTV Now recommends 12 Mbps for home connections. Fios' slowest internet speed is 50/50 Mbps, which is more than the minimum requirement.

How good is the customer support?
Verizon Fios has been at the top of the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) for several years now. We've also used their live chat system and called their support line, both of which were helpful and responsive. As of now, we see no major problems with Fios' service, and we daresay it has one of the best customer service desks around.

How can I pay my bills with Verizon?
Paying bills is easy with Verizon. Here's how you can pay your monthly bill:

  • My Fios App
  • My Verizon Online Portal
  • Auto Pay
  • Pay in person
  • Pay With Your Remote
  • By Mail

You can also pay your bill by phone, although there is a $3.50 vendor charge.
