The SELECT package is DIRECTV's lowest priced plan. It features 150+ channels, with a range of programs for the casual TV user. However, if you're a fan of sports, this package isn't for you.

Essentially, the SELECT package is DIRECTV's ENTERTAINMENT package, without the sports.

Specifically, it doesn't have ESPN, ESPN2, Fox Sports, and NBC Sports Network.

However, it's a good choice for families who watch TV casually. Expect to find Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, USA Network, Fox News, TBS, TNT, and Disney channel among its lineup.

The SELECT package is great for casual TV users who don't watch sports. People on a budget will like it too. It's DIRECTV's cheapest plan, with a few key entertainment channels. Still, it does well with families who only watch TV occasionally.

Children will enjoy channels like Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network. For adults, there's news channels like CNBC and Fox News.

However, there are also channels like Hallmark's Movies & Mysteries, SyFy, and the National Geographic Channel, which can be enjoyed together by the whole family.
