What Is Delta Sky Club?
Delta Sky Club is a group of airport lounges owned and operated by Delta Air Lines. Advertised as "Your Destination Between Destinations," each lounge boasts a relaxing atmosphere with various perks and amenities.
The difference between Delta Sky Club lounges and regular seating at the gate is much like the difference between first class and economy class on an airplane - the lounges are comfortable, spacious, and full of amenities.

Delta Sky Club - Pros
- Complimentary food and drink
A Delta Sky Club Membership pays off the best when it comes to Delta's food and drink offerings. Quality airport food is expensive - to say nothing of airport cocktails. If you purchase an individual membership and use a Delta Sky Club lounge twice a month, you're paying just over $22.50 per visit - which easily could be the price of a meal and a premium alcoholic drink at a restaurant. - Lots of U.S. locations
If you frequently fly Delta in the U.S., chances are you could be making good use of a Delta Sky Club lounge. (Especially if you frequently fly out of Atlanta, GA!) - Lots of ways to gain access
Accessing Delta Sky Club can be as easy as holding the right credit card or purchasing an upgraded airline ticket - buying an annual membership isn't the only option. - Great for long layovers and cancellations
Access to a Delta Sky Club lounge is nice when you have twenty minutes to spare before you need to head to your gate - but it's even better when you have a four-hour layover or your flight gets delayed a few hours. The comfort and luxury Delta Sky Club lounges offer can really improve the travel experience.
Delta Sky Club - Cons
- Expensive
The price of a membership is high. It likely isn't worth the money unless you fly Delta very frequently. - Not always available
Even if you purchase a membership and fly Delta or its partner airlines, that doesn't mean there'll be a Delta Sky Club lounge in every airport. Hours are limited as well - lounges aren't open 24/7 like an airport is. Be sure to check locations and their hours below. - Fewer benefits, same cost
Delta recently cut some Delta Sky Club perks, though the cost of a membership has stayed the same. As of October 6, 2018, Delta Sky Club no longer offers meeting room services at any Club location. As of January 1, 2019, Delta Sky Club members may only use the Club in conjunction with same-day ticketed air travel on Delta or its partner airlines, and will no longer have access to partner lounges.
Bottom Line
Delta Sky Club offers a variety of amenities and perks that are sure to improve anyone's airport experience - for a price. That price might be worth it for you if you fly Delta very frequently. If you visit a Delta Sky Club lounge twice a month or more, the food and drinks you consume could potentially pay off your membership.
If you don't fly Delta quite as often but luxury is really important to you, joining the Club could still be a great option. The value of luxury and comfort is totally relative. Traveling can be hard, and Delta Sky Club is right there to make it better.
Of course, if you get free or discounted access with your credit card, visiting Delta Sky Club is pretty much a no-brainer.
