Head over to mydish.com, click on "Contact Us," and scroll down to "Chat with Dish." After filling out your account information, you'll be connected to a customer service representative almost immediately.

You can chat with their customer service about any problems/ inquiries you might have. If all their agents are busy, the window will ask you to leave a message. Their agents will respond to you the next day.

Here are DISH's live chat operating hours:

  • Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 1:00 am ET
  • Saturday - Sunday: 7:30 am - 12:00 am ET

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I call DISH instead?
DISH offers both phone support and live chat. However, some people prefer to chat online rather than call. Maybe it's difficult to call, or you have a quick question, or you prefer multi-tasking.

  • What's the difference between calling and chatting?
Essentially, it's the same thing. However, with chat agents, you do have a few perks. Chatting lets you print your chat or have it emailed to you. This allows you to have a record of your conversation. Also, if you have simple questions or inquiries, you can skip the hassle of calling an agent. Chat agents can immediately answer your question.

  • Do they have actual live chat representatives?
Yes. DISH employs real people as their chat agents. Their operators also speak English.

From our experience, we've always been connected to a real person who had no problems understanding us.

  • Where are these agents from? Are they outsourced?
DISH does not outsource their agents. All of DISH's chat agents work in DISH's office in Florida.

  • Is it safe to use the chat?
DISH uses industry-standard SSL encryption over HTTPS protocol. Your personal data and private information is safe with DISH.

  • What can I do via chat?
Pretty much the same as calling their customer service hotline. DISH's chat agents can help you with troubleshooting or inquiries, set up a new service, or even upgrade or downgrade your package.

BOTTOM LINE

DISH's live chat feature is great for their subscribers. It comes in handy if you'd like to keep a record of the conversation, since it allows you to save the transcript. You can use it in case there are any disputes in the future. It also lets you solve minor issues or questions immediately, without having to call them up.

However, look out for their hours of operation. While their live chat is available throughout the week, they close between 12-1 am.

If you have trouble with your service, call them instead. Their technical support phone line is available 24/7.
