  I've been using the Discover Open Road Student Card for some time now. It may not be the lowest-interest card out there, but I really like the double cash bonuses they give you for gas purchases and restaurant purchases. I don't really deal with their interest rates too much, anyway, because if you pay off your new balance in 25 days or less, you aren't charged any interest. That is a great motivator for me, and I am usually able to carry through on that. There are also some very good deals for students on their online Discover store. If you check it out regularly, you sometimes will find real bargains there. I also like the fact there is no annual fee.

  Right now, my credit card purchases are simple, lots of gas stops, and lots of on-the-run restaurant stops, maybe a few CDs or other electronics, and this card rewards me very nicely for those things. In the future, when I have a more complex financial life, and more money to spend, maybe I will want something different, but for now, this is exactly right for me.
