David Dobrik Estimated Net Worth: $25 Million - $34 Million

David Dobrik is a social media personality. He first gained internet stardom on Vine, a social media platform for short-form videos. When Vine went down in 2016, Dobrik moved on to YouTube and became the leader of a YouTube ensemble called the Vlog Squad.

Beyond social media, Dobrik has also expanded to other business and entertainment ventures. In 2021, Dobrik's net worth is estimated to be between $25 million and $34 million.

Find out below how the social media star earned his large net worth.

Who is David Dobrik?

David Julian Dobrik was born on July 23, 1996, in Košice, Slovakia. His family moved to Vernon Hills, Illinois, when he was six years old. Dobrik moved to Los Angeles, California, after graduating high school to advance his social media career.

He initially found success with sports accounts on Vine. But his career really picked up steam after he started posting vlogs on YouTube.

In early 2021, Dobrik was dropped from multiple brand deals after sexual assault allegations were made against a member of the Vlog Squad.[1] YouTube also suspended his ad revenue for about two months.

How Does David Dobrik Make Money?

Want to know how David Dobrik got so rich? Here's how he grew his multimillion-dollar net worth.

YouTube

Dobrik is best known for his YouTube vlogs, and he makes quite a lot of money on the platform. He has 3 YouTube channels: his main vlog channel, a second channel for bloopers and challenges, and a third for his podcast with fellow Vlog Squad member Jason Nash.

His channels have all been wildly successful. Dobrik has about 28.52 million subscribers across his three channels.

YouTubers make around $3 to $5 in ad revenue for every 1,000 video views.[2] Between his 3 YouTube channels, Dobrik has more than 7.2 billion views. This puts his estimated YouTube earnings at around $21.6 million to $36 million.

TikTok and Instagram

Dobrik has found success on other social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram. He currently has around 25.9 million followers on TikTok and 12.7 million followers on Instagram.

TikTokers with more than 1 million followers can make $750 to $1,300 for each sponsored post. [3] He currently has 508 TikTok videos posted. Although not all of these are sponsored, he still makes a pretty penny from the platform.

Instagram influencers with more than 500,000 followers can make $2,000 to $3,000 per sponsored post.[4] Again, not every single picture posted on IG is sponsored—but Dobrik can make a lot of money with just one sponsored photo.

Brand Deals

Internet celebrities can make even more money by negotiating deals with companies. Dobrik has partnered with many brands, including Chipotle, SeatGeek, Bumble, and EA.

Brand deals are negotiated between the company and the influencer. The exact amount Dobrik gets paid for each deal varies. But in general, the more followers and higher engagement you have with fans, the more you can earn.

Dobrik weaves advertisements into his semi-scripted vlogs rather than interrupting the natural flow of the video.

Business Ventures

Dobrik co-founded the photography app Dispo in 2019. The app was valued at $200 million in February 2021. However, Dobrik left the company later that year.

Among his other business ventures, Dobrik has also created a perfume and an apparel line called Clickbait. He has also branched into the entertainment industry beyond the social media sphere.

In 2017, Dobrik and Jason Nash started a podcast called "VIEWS with David Dobrik & Jason Nash." Since then, the pair have released more than 200 episodes.

Dobrik has been featured in a handful of TV shows, including the competition shows "Dodgeball Thunderdome" and "America's Most Musical Family." Dobrik aspires to become a late-night talk show host. In 2019, he appeared as a guest on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon. Dobrik has also voice acted in the 2019 movie "The Angry Birds Movie 2."

Real Estate

At just 25 years old, David Dobrik has already bought two Los Angeles homes.

He bought his first home in the Studio City neighborhood of Los Angeles, California in 2017. He bought the home for $2.6 million and sold it for $3.5 million in 2021.[5]

The YouTuber currently owns a sprawling mansion in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles. The home boasts six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, and it has 7,800 square feet of living space.[6] The property serves as the setting for many of his vlogs.

Bottom Line

David Dobrik's career has come a long way from the sports content he used to post on Vine. Over the years, Dobrik has tapped into comedy and built a cult following around his personality and the Vlog Squad. And Dobrik's entrepreneurial spirit doesn't end there.

He's branched out to other business ventures, including podcasts, merchandise, and breaking into TV and film. With his willingness to diversify his streams of income, Dobrik's net worth will most likely grow even more.
