Foot Locker Coupons and Promo Code to Save Money

Your feet deserve the best, but so does your wallet. Take a look at the latest promo codes and tips for getting a great deal every time you go to Foot Locker.

Tips and Tricks to Save Money at Foot Locker

When you're in the market for athletic shoes or clothing, Foot Locker can be a great resource for top brands, but how much are you willing to pay for a favorite logo on your apparel? By finding deals before you shop at Foot Locker, including current coupons and promo codes, you can save yourself some dough and save up for your next shopping trip.

How to Get the Best Deals at Foot Locker

  • Get something in return for being a loyal shopper. You can score extra savings by joining the Foot Locker VIP rewards program. When you sign up, you’ll get $10 off a $50 purchase, and you’ll also receive special perks throughout the year, including a birthday discount. Spend more than $300 in a year and you’ll automatically be upgraded to platinum status, at which point you’ll earn rewards with every purchase of $100 or more.

  • Go back and check the price. If the price of an item you bought changes within 10 days of your purchase, Foot Locker will refund the difference.

  • Follow on social media but try not to fall in love. Foot Locker regularly posts sales and new product announcements on its Facebook and Twitter pages. Problem is, you may find yourself craving the latest Nike sneaks and worrying about how long they’ll last — and making an impulse purchase by lunchtime. You may end up spending $200 or more just because you couldn’t wait until the sneakers went on sale (see “When to Shop at Foot Locker,” below). Follow the company only if you can resist the temptation to buy things just because you see a few cool pictures.

  • Try on your purchases right away. If you aren’t fully satisfied with an online item or if it doesn’t fit properly, Foot Locker will pay the return shipping to return or exchange it. But to qualify for their “fit guarantee,” you need to send back your items within 30 days of purchase. Or you could return it to your nearest store.

  • Sign up for emails. Foot Locker email subscribers get exclusive access to sales.

  • Ship to store. Save on shipping by having your order sent to a local Foot Locker store for free.

  • Search for a coupon code. Foot Locker usually has a coupon code available, typically for a dollar amount or percentage off orders of a certain amount, so look back here to see the latest.

  • Take advantage of free shipping. Foot Locker regularly offers free shipping on more than 10,000 products marked with a special symbol. Shipping is also free on orders of $75 or more. Avoid paying extra shipping fees by bundling multiple items in one order to push your total over the free shipping threshold.

  • Get rewarded for serving your country. Active military and veterans get a 20% off discount every day when they show a Veterans Advantage card at checkout.

When to Shop at Foot Locker

  • End of seasons. Foot Locker tends to put much of its merchandise on sale towards the end of the season. For example, you’ll find big discounts on boots at the tail end of winter and sandals towards the end of summer, plus discounts on specialty sports shoes when the sports season is winding down.

  • Beginning of the month. Coupon codes expire at the end of every month, so shopping early in the month gives you the best selection of products to use with a new coupon code.

  • New shoe releases. Foot Locker gets many exclusive rights to new shoe releases, and, compared to other stores, tends to have more inventory as soon as the shoes are released.

What to Buy at Foot Locker

  • Wide-width shoes. Foot Locker has a much larger selection of wide-width running shoes than other stores. In addition, the prices are reasonable and can be used with a coupon.

  • Nike. Foot Locker’s large Nike selection tends to have the same prices as other stores, but Foot Locker allows the use of a coupon on Nike products, unlike many other stores.

  • Kids pants. Foot Locker has a surprisingly large selection of children’s pants and shorts in casual and athletic styles, many of which are on sale at any given moment.

  • Jerseys. The prices on NBA and other official sport jerseys tend to be about the same at Foot Locker and other stores, but Foot Locker allows coupon codes on these products, which is rare.

What Not to Buy at Foot Locker

  • Fitness monitors. These products can be found much cheaper at other stores.

  • Golf shoes. Foot Locker doesn’t have a great golf shoe selection, and the prices are much more expensive than at other stores.

  • Socks. Foot Locker’s sock prices are hit or miss, but most sock products can be found cheaper elsewhere.

  • Boots. Although Foot Locker’s boots go on sale at the end of the winter, the prices are still higher than the same products at other stores.
