Tips and Tricks to Save Money at FansEdge
Online retailer FansEdge has competitive prices that you can push down even more when you follow these tips and tricks.
What to Buy at FansEdge
- Big and tall clothing. FansEdge has an extensive big and tall selection that is much larger than other sports memorabilia stores.
- NASCAR gear. FansEdge has an above-average selection of NASCAR clothes and collectibles.
- Surf clothes. FansEdge has a large selection of top surf brands, including Roxy, Dakine, and Oakley. Although the prices are average, these items can be combined with many coupon codes, making for great prices.
- Accessories. Smaller team items, such as Christmas tree ornaments, window clings, and desk accessories, are fairly inexpensive, frequently go on sale, and get added to the clearance section.
How to Get the Best Deals at FansEdge
- Use ShopRunner for free shipping. FansEdge is part of ShopRunner, an annual subscription service that provides free 2-day shipping and free returns at hundreds of websites. Annual membership to ShopRunner is $79, which can be worth it if you frequently order from multiple ShopRunner stores.
- Use the satisfaction guarantee. FansEdge promises you will be completely satisfied with your order and shopping experience. If your product doesn’t meet expectations, you can contact customer service to get a $10 merchandise credit.
- Sign up for emails. FansEdge email subscribers get exclusive access to company news and discounts.
- Follow on social media. FansEdge posts updates on new products, promotions, and flash sales on its Facebook and Twitter pages. Follow along to be the first to know the news.
- Bundle items. Shipping is a flat rate of $4.99 per order or free for orders of $60 or more. Save money by bundling multiple items into the same order to avoid paying multiple shipping fees or to push you over the free shipping threshold. FansEdge occasionally offers free shipping on orders under $60, but those promotions are rare.
- Buy in bulk. FansEdge offers discounts when placing large orders of $1,000 or more or 50 items or more. Discounts start at 10% and go up the more items you order. Contact customer service for specific group pricing details.
- Use a coupon code. FansEdge regularly has coupon codes available, typically for a percentage off a purchase of a certain amount.
- Take time on returns. Items can be returned up to a year after purchase, so you have time to decide what you want to keep. Note that you will have to pay for return shipping.
- Go through a daily deal site. FansEdge occasionally has deals for vouchers on daily deal sites like Groupon and LivingSocial. These vouchers are already a great discount, such as $15 for a $25 discount, and can be used as a form of payment during a sale to maximize your savings.
When to Shop at FansEdge
- Early November. FansEdge runs a sale towards the beginning to middle of each November, with discounts of 25-40% off most items. The sale also occasionally includes free shipping offers.
- Flash sales. A few times throughout the year, FansEdge holds flash sales where everything is discounted up to 50% off. The sales typically last only a few hours in the morning or evening, and are first announced via email and social media.
- Before and after sports seasons. Sports clothing and memorabilia typically go on sale before and after each season. For example, MLB gear is at its lowest price in March and October, on either end of the season.
What Not to Buy at FansEdge
- NFL jerseys. FansEdge’s NFL jerseys are priced the same or higher than jerseys at other stores, and they can’t be purchased with most coupon codes.
- Championship gear. Shirts and gear commemorating championships go on sale for a few days after the championship game, but then the prices go up (the gear can’t be purchased with a coupon code). Other stores keep their championship sales going for longer than FansEdge.
- Under Amour. The prices of Under Armour items at FansEdge are the same as prices at most other stores, but you can’t use a FansEdge coupon code to purchase them.
