Tips and Tricks to Save Money at Crocs.com

Why pay full price for shoes with holes in them? Crocs.com features the company's iconic clogs plus a wide range of shoes, including flip flops, sneakers and boots, and you can usually find a way to purchase their footwear with a discount.

How to Get the Best Deals at Crocs.com

  • Do join Crocs Club. Unlike many other retailers that make you wait to take advantage of a loyalty program, Crocs will give you 20% off your first order right away if you sign up to receive emails. Members of this club are also automatically entered into monthly giveaways (e.g., free Crocs for a year), occasional free shipping, and access to exclusive savings.

  • Don’t pay much attention to the rewards program. Unless you buy about six pairs of Crocs a year, the rewards program is not going to help you much and may, in fact, encourage you spend more money than you should — just to feel like you’re getting a deal.

With the Crocs Club membership, if you spend $100 in the first 6 months of the year or the last 6 months of the year, you earn a $15 reward. Here’s where this offer gets complicated: That $100 does not include shipping or taxes, and it’s restrictive to a particular time period. It may tempt you into buying an extra pair just to get to the $100 mark. In addition, the $15 reward is good for only 60 days, so you may feel pressured to make a purchase immediately to get that deal (and that $15 does not count toward your ability to accrue points to get the next $15 reward). All that said, if you really are a frequent buyer — if you, your spouse, and your three kids all wear Crocs — the rewards may be worth monitoring.

  • Go back and look at the site after you make your purchase. If an item you order goes on sale within 14 days of your order, Crocs.com will give you a gift card with the difference in price.

  • Test out your shoes right away. Even if you buy a pair during the off-season to save some money (see “When to Shop,” below), be sure to walk around a lot to see how they feel. Every Crocs item comes with a 90-day warranty, so you can return or exchange yours for free if there’s an issue. But there’s a limited time window to do it.

  • Bundle items. Economy shipping is free on orders of $25 or more, meaning that most orders will automatically qualify. Orders less than $25 cost $4.99 for standard shipping. To reduce costs, wait until you need multiple items to push your order over the free shipping threshold; just be sure you’re not tempted into spending more than you need to just to “save” $5 (adding a $30 pair of shoes to your $20 order to get to the $25/“free shipping” mark is not smart shopping).

  • Use a coupon code. Crocs.com typically has at least one coupon code available, usually for a dollar amount off orders of a certain amount. These coupon codes can generally be combined with an occasional free shipping code.

  • Follow on social media. Follow Crocs.com on Twitter and Facebook to learn about promotions and new products.

When to Shop at Crocs.com

  • Early March and June; mid-September and November. The Friends and Family Sale, typically held four times a year, includes a coupon code for 25% off the entire site, including sale items.

  • End of April, August, and November. During these times, most items are included in a buy one, get one 50% off sale.

  • Holidays. Crocs.com holds a sale or releases a good coupon code around every holiday, including Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Columbus Day. Sales vary, but typically offer at least 25% off or a buy one, get one half off deal.

What to Buy at Crocs.com

  • Sandals. Crocs.com has a large selection of sandals that are usually less expensive than the same items at other places.

  • Classic styles. The classic Croc has expanded to include many varieties. These products are frequently on sale and tend to be less expensive than the same products at other stores (and those other stores generally have a more limited selection). It’s worth shopping around at other retailers, though, before you place your order.

  • Jibbitz shoe charms. It can be hard to find official Jibbitz charms at other stores, and when you do, the prices are often higher than ordering from Crocs.com.

  • Flats. The newer lines of flats tend to be similarly priced at Crocs.com and other stores. However, these shoes rarely go on sale at other places, but can be purchased with a coupon code at Crocs.com, making for a better deal.

What Not to Buy at Crocs.com

  • Purses. Crocs.com purses rarely go on sale and can consistently be found for much better prices elsewhere.

  • Kids’ shoes. Smaller Crocs don’t go on sale often at Crocs.com, and can often be found with better prices at other stores.

  • Men’s shoes. Crocs.com pricing on men’s shoes is hit or miss, but they generally can be found cheaper elsewhere.
