Discover was first founded in 1986. The company's unveiling happened during the Super Bowl of that year, in which the company offered its "Dawn of Discover" commercial, alerting the perception of what credit cards could provide. Since the company's start, it has been dedicated to providing what people need and want in their credit lenders. This included a wealth of changes in how consumers managed their money on a daily basis. The company offered new features and services. The company was one of the first to offer a no annual fee and to offer cash rewards to their users.

Discover Card is known as "America's cash rewards pioneer" and the company's card has become a symbol of innovation since the dawn of its existence. Today, you can count on Discover to provide you with a range of features and services, including the no annual fee and cash back credit lines they become known for.

A look at how large Discover is can really put into prospective how fitting this company is. The company processes more than 3 billion transactions a year (a 2006 figure.) Additionally, they provide millions of people with the ability to purchase and invest from around the world. The company offers their Discover Network of services to those in the US, Canada, Central America, Caribbean and in Mexico. They have done this through their partnership with PULSE, a company providing financial institutions with ATM and money movement services.

Discover credit cards are flexible, but are generally designed for those with good or better credit scores. The company's rewards programs are well known because they are highly lucrative (their interest rates often make it more affordable to invest in Discover rewards than other credit card reward programs.)

Discover also offers a number of business reward credit cards, including cash back and travel benefits. These include flexible credit limits and low interest rates.

Discover is not an old company, but in the time that it has been established, it has grown to be one of the most recognizable credit lines, especially for the rewards programs it offers.

It took me awhile to find a credit card that was up to par with my standards. I wanted a card that gave back to me, such as cash back bonuses. I literally searched every single credit card for almost five months, because finding the right one is important to me. The issues I ran into most were hidden fees, high APR, and had high annual rates! That did bug me, because if a company is going to hide things from me before we start what can I expect when I do business with them? I did not want to apply for a card and find out that I did not like it, or that I would be charged hidden fees. After comparing all the major credit cards I chose Discover, and I am VERY happy I did. I applied for the "Discover more card", and even though I just got it I am so happy. The APR is really low, and I feel like I am getting something back for using their card. My priority is saving and getting back as much as I can for my dollar. At my local gas and grocery store they give me points, so I will be using my discover to save even more.
