The TSO later provided credit life insurance to customers and added other ancillary services over its years. In the 1980's, the company endorsed affinity programs designed for nurses and court reporters. In 1995, Advanta was ranked number 13 in the America's Best 100 Growth Companies by Financial World. The company made a specific turn in 2001 when it began to focus on just credit cards for the small business sector and other professionals. This change in direction helped the company focus in on an area in the credit market often over looked and under provided for. In the years following, the company earned various awards and stamps of approval from companies like Smart Money, Forbes.com and BusinessWeek.com. Kiplinger's Personal Finance featured Advanta as a leading company in 2006. Today, Advanta is well respected in the industry.
